Opto22 I/O Package
The Opto22 parts required to support the Shafi Reliabot Machine
Vision system consist of:
PCI-AC5 communications card which is placed in PCI slot in the
PC and provides a logic connection to the module rack.
G4PB8 I/O module rack which is located externally from the PC
and is connected to the PCI-AC5 card by a ribbon cable.
G4ODC5 digital output module(s) which send "heartbeat" and
auto/man mode signals to the robot.
G4IDC5 digital input module. Optional, occasional use.

compatible with PC's that contain a 33 MHz Peripheral
Component Interconnect (PCI) bus which provides high speed
32-bit memory access for high throughput. The PCI-AC5 features
jumperless configuration and four LED's for debugging and
application status indication. Two 50-wire ribbon cable interfaces
can control up to 48 I/O points.

The G4PB8 rack accomodates up to 8 G4 style I/O modules
which are secured using threaded captive hold-down screws.
Barrier strips with screw terminals provide the field and mounting
rack power connections. A header connector accepts a standard
50-pin cable for the logic connections.
Optional racks are available with 16 or 24 module capacities.

The G4IDC5 input module is used to detect on/off DC voltage
levels. The module is designed with filtering on the input and a
hysteresis amplifier, providing high noise rejection and transient
free, "clean" switching. Built in LED status indicators are
included. An optional version is available with a manual switch
for debugging and troubleshooting.
